TITLE:                      National Data Gathering Consultants                                                                                            

DUTY STATION:   Port Vila, Vanuatu (candidates required to be in country for the consultancy)

DURATION:            12 days 

 

UNFPA is looking for a national consultant to conduct in country interviews and data collection for the end of Programme Evaluation of the Pacific Regional Sexual and Reproductive Health Programme (PRSRH) 2014 – 2020. The main purpose of the PRSRH Programme evaluation is to (i) assess the results of the investment i.e. was this a good investment or not; (ii) identify lessons from the investment that would be useful for both MFAT and UNFPA PSRO, also working to strengthen the relationship between both parties; and (iii) to provide evidence to guide MFAT future SRHR investment in the Pacific, which remains a priority for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

 

Given the current COVID19 pandemic travel restrictions, UNFPA is seeking applications for in country based qualitative interviewers and data to mainly assist in the data collection phase of the PRSRHP evaluation. A lead international evaluation consultant has been recruited to conduct, lead and oversee the assessment. In country data collectors would be already based in country to execute the rollout of the information gathering as designed by the lead consultant.

 

Qualifications

·An Advanced (Master’s) degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Sociology, Economics, Social Studies, International Relations or other related field is required

·Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in relevant programme areas.

·Candidates with experience conducting evaluations and review of SRH/Health Education and other social programs is preferred.

·UN Experience especially strong understanding of UNFPA’s policies and programming is desired.

 

Conditions & Remuneration: UNFPA PSRO will contract the successful candidate under an individual contract and will be responsible for the payment of fees payable according to qualification and standard terms of payment and subject to satisfactory completion of assigned outputs.  Payment will be made on completion of a monthly report.
