POST TITLE:          Programme Analyst           

DUTY STATION:     Apia, Samoa

CONTRACT:           Individual Contract

DURATION:            4 months 

 

The Programme Analyst post is located in the Pacific Sub-Regional Office (SRO) in Samoa and reports to the Sexual Reproductive Health Specialist who provides overall direction and guidance. S/he is part of the country team and will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in achieving key deliverables on the country work plan.

Job Purpose

UNFPA seeks a national consultant as part of a multi-disciplinary team of staff who are transparent, exceptional in how they manage the resources entrusted to them and who commit to deliver excellence in programme results. The national consultant is expected to transform, inspire and deliver high impact and sustained results.

Qualifications

·         An Advanced (Master’s) degree in public health, gender, social development or other social sciences such as Management, International Development, Sociology, Economics, Demography, International Relations, Public Administration is required

·         Minimum of 2 (2) years of professional experience in programme/project management in the public or private sector especially in international development or related field is required.

·         Substantive knowledge and practical experience in population, reproductive and sexual health/gender programming is strongly desired.

·         Experience in advocacy and knowledge management in the duty station and in international cooperation

 

Conditions & Remuneration: UNFPA PSRO will contract the successful candidate under an individual contract and will be responsible for the payment of fees payable according to qualification and standard terms of payment and subject to satisfactory completion of assigned outputs.  Payment will be made on completion of a monthly report.
